Privacy Policy

Use of your personal data
We use your personal data only for the purpose of administrating the ISO13584-Part501 Registration Authority. Intended use of the personal data includes:
  • Identification of registered persons by SORA

  • Transmission of emails to notify the changes of status about registered proposals

  • Measures requested by the laws and regulations, or necessitated for the good observation of rules specified in ISO13584-501.


    • Personal data administrator
    The personal data is administered by Secretary of the registration authority of the ISO13584-501 (SORA), which is currently assigned to JEMIMA (Japan Electric Measuring Instruments Manufacturers' Association). SORA may request the consulting of contracted partners for the maintenance of RA database including personal data.

    Update on your personal data
    You can consult, revise and correct the personal data that you have provided to us via RA system. In case you need to delete your personal data, please contact the personal data administrator. But in such a case, please note that you may no longer be able to receive our service or information from the RA system.

    Disclosing personal data to third parties
    We do not disclose your personal data to third parties except in the following cases.
  • When complying with laws and regulations

  • When we have your consent to disclose your personal data

  • When disclosure is necessary for the protection of human life, human health or property and it is difficult to obtain your consent

  • When we consign the handling of personal data to a subcontractor within the scope necessary to carry out the RA procedure.


    • Other matters
  • Persons under 16 years old are not allowed for the registration.

  • Any information about the identify of registered experts or of the proposer shall be kept secret to registered experts, except the cases specified in this document.

  • Persons without relevant professional expertise or business relevance in the domain covered by this RA may be refused for registration.

  • Technical experts who have once registered in this RA but become no longer identifiable by mail, telephone, or other means of communication, may be removed from the register.

  • Technical experts who have once registered in this RA but not active in comments or votes for more than 4 consecutive months may be removed from register.

  • Person whose registered personal data includes the untruth or missings may be removed from the register.

  • For registrations received on Saturdays, Sundays, or during our organization's holidays, we will reply on the working day.
